Welcome To Our Relief Society Blog
Unity Night
March 19th was our Relief Society Birthday activity. We celebrated with a Unity night and it was a success! The night began with a wonderful pot luck Italian dinner. We ate and chatted while picking "getting to know you" questions out of jars set at each table. After dinner we played two more games. One was a "guess that baby" guessing game. Sisters brought baby/childhood pictures and we had to guess who was who. For the other game, sisters brought an item that represents themselves to put on a display table. Some sisters brought things to show a talent they have, ie: artwork, quilts, handmade jewelry, cake decorating, scrapbooking, ballroom dancing, etc... The items were all numbered and we had to guess which item represented which sister. It was really neat to get to know all the hidden talents of our fellow relief society sisters. We ended the night with a special musical number by Kayleigh Ayala and a short message on creating more unity with in our relief society, by Sister Ritchie. Last but not least, we enjoyed the wonderful and beautiful 3 tiered birthday cake, also made by the talented Kayleigh. Each sister went home with a small gift bag which had 2 cards in it and we were encouraged to use them to write a nice note to two sisters in the ward.
